SEASONAL SPECIAL!
Red Palm fruits/nuts especially for cockatoos and other parrots!

Excellent wild food for Goffin's (Tanimbar), Philippine/Red-vented, Ducorp's, White/Umbrella, Salmon-crested/Seram/Moluccan, Yellow-crested, Sulphur-crested, Citron-crested cockatoos.  These cockatoo species are all native to various parts of Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and the Philippine Islands and all eat the often fatty, moist, outer flesh of palm nuts.

The red palm nut species for sale is a species that is the regular wild food of Goffin's, Umbrella/White and Salmon-crested cockatoos.  These cockatoos species feed on these palm fruits daily as long as fruits are available on the palm and now your cockatoos can eat them too!

Make no mistake, all red palm fruit is not equal!  Some red fruited palm species are passed up by these cockatoos species due to the flesh being too syrupy, slimy or fiberous.  I am offering the species that is preferably chosen by wild-living and reproducing cockatoos!

A minimum of 25 fully ripened (often 30-35) nuts, hand harvested from the palm (not off of the ground) are same-day Food Saver vacuum sealed in PBA-free freezer bags and frozen solid. Up to four packs fit in a medium box and the shipping cost is the same, no matter how many packs. Please store the palm nuts in the freezer.  Rinse under cold water and dry thoroughly before offering to your bird.  As a hygenic precaution remove water dishes while your parrot/cockatoo is feeding on red palm nuts.
